Spiffing up the Macnamara Trail

Our Macnamara Trail has been treated to some overdue TLC. After a walk-through with two members of our executive, new club member and volunteer trail co-ordinator Yvonne W. was ready to assess and deliver what was needed with the help of volunteers like Bert DeVry, John Mclaughlan and Jock MacNeil.

Signs, including some handsome wood versions crafted by Vern Seligy, have been replaced and added; feeders and birdseed have been stored for the summer. Boardwalk maintenance is ongoing as is the clearing of downed trees and in-the-way branches.

John Mclaughlan installs signs pointing visitors to some of the one-way side trails to view the lime kiln, the walking ferns and the marsh lookout.
