On a rainy July 24th, a dozen or so MFNC members attended a specially arranged tour through the Museum of Nature Collections in Gatineau. Four areas (Dinosaurs, Lichens, Vascular Plants and bugs) were explored. Participants were amazed by the extent and variety of the collections. The herbarium of vascular plants is staggering in age and number, and the extensive weevil collection ranged from pinhead-sized to “villainous” creatures an inch or so long.
