Club Meeting Measures: The Macnamara Club’s October 2022 meeting will be our first to combine in-person and remote attendance options. Many people are concerned about the transmission of Covid, as well as long Covid. Accordingly, we are encouraging our club members to wear a mask when indoors at the Arnprior Curling Club at 5 Galvin Street Arnprior, and to sit apart from each other. Seats will be arranged 6’ apart. If people want to sit closer to someone in their own household, they can move their chairs. Members are invited to bring their own snacks as the kitchen will be closed. (Take your garbage home, please.) If you have any Covid symptoms, or feel ill in any way, please stay home to prevent spreading your “germs.” Likewise, if you are uncomfortable meeting in person, stay home and enjoy the meeting via Zoom. Club Banquet Details: Our club banquet, the first since 2019, will be held at the Sand Point Golf and Country Club, 38 Golf Club Rd., Braeside, on October 28,2022. Our guest speaker for the evening - Jeremy Inglis - will guide us through A Year in the Life of a Black Bear and we expect to have door prizes, a raffle and a 50/50. And what would an MFNC banquet be without a Michael Runtz quiz! Doors and a cash bar will open at 5:30 p.m. while dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the Arnprior Library and online at mfnc.ca. The cut-off date is October 18; no tickets will be available at the door. Note that you will be asked to select your choice of main course - beef, chicken or vegetarian - when you purchase each of your tickets. We recommend masking unless people are seated. The banquet is buffet style – where people serve themselves – but there will be servers at the table so there will be no sharing of serving utensils. Tickets purchased online will be waiting for you at the banquet; those purchased at the library will be handed out at the time of purchase.
