Geotour of the Macnamara Trail

Saturday brought 19 hardy folk to the Macnamara Trail to study some of its geological features. We had a lovely afternoon and enjoyed the first snowfall while observing several notable outcrops along the trail and visiting two old quarries.

Dave Forsyth, our trip leader, has done extensive research on the trail and has posted a self-directed guide on the Club’s website. See “Macnamara Trail”, “Geology Field Guides”.
It was wonderful to have three new club members along with us!
