Diving with Sharks

Barry started scuba diving in 1992 and has currently logged over 300 dives in places like the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, Cayman Islands as well as many other Caribbean islands and also California, Florida, and other US states. He has organised underwater clean ups at the Arnprior marina and McClean Ave beach. The St Lawrence River and many other fresh water lakes are also logged.

His major specialty is diving with sharks. He has dived with Tiger sharks, Bull sharks, Lemon sharks, Hammerhead sharks and Whale sharks, just to name a few. He has some great shark diving stories to tell. Please take note that all of his shark dives are done with all safety measures in place.                                                                                                      

Sometimes his dive buddies have included his two daughters who were certified when they were 12 years old. His diving accreditations are Open Water Diver, Advanced Diver and Nitrox diver.       

Barry is currently on the Board of Directors for the MFNC as Trail Coordinator and also on the Arnprior Environmental Advisory Committee. If you have walked the Macnamara trail, you can give a very big thank you to Barry as he maintains the trail on a near daily basis…unless he’s on a dive trip!
