Buy your 2019 banquet tickets early
Wildlife biologist and research scientist Dr. Brent Patterson will feed our collective interest in wolves at the 2019 Macnamara Club banquet on October 26. More details on his topic are provided below.
Once again we are returning to the Sand Point Golf Club.
You’ll miss the fun if you don’t have a ticket! As members of the public are also invited to attend, club members are encouraged to buy their tickets early.
Tickets will not be available at the door. The ticket price of $40 per person applies up to midnight, October 23 and payment MUST be RECEIVED by the Club by that date. Tickets for children 11 and under are available at a special price of $20.
Come prepared to buy your tickets at the September 3 meeting or buy them in person after that date at the Arnprior Library or purchase them online. Tickets will also be available at the October 1 meeting if not sold out by that date.
Banquet details
The banquet will be held on Saturday, October 26, at Sand Point Golf Club, 38 Golf Club Road, Braeside.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner is at 6:00 p.m.
How you can buy tickets
The ticket price, at $40 per person, is all inclusive. Payment must be received by the Club by October 23. Tickets for children 11 and under are available at a special price of $20. Tickets will NOT be available at the door.

Our Presenter:
Dr. Brent Patterson joined the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources as a research scientist and has been an adjunct professor at Trent University since 2001. His research focuses on the population dynamics of wolves, coyotes and their prey in temperate and boreal regions.
The Presentation:
Dr. Patterson will discuss the status and ecology of wolves and coyotes across the province and provide an overview of ongoing and recent research on wolves and coyotes. Topics will include life history, abundance, feeding habits, hybridization between wolves and coyotes, the recent translocation of wolves to Isle Royale, Michigan, and the status and management of the Algonquin wolf.
Biography:
Brent Patterson joined the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources as a research scientist in 2001 and has been an adjunct professor at Trent University since that time as well. His research focuses on the population dynamics of wolves, coyotes and their prey in temperate and boreal regions. He has published extensively on wolves, coyotes, caribou and moose in Ontario and beyond. Prior to joining the MNRF Brent worked as a biologist for the Government of Nunavut in the central Canadian Arctic where his research focused on caribou, muskox and wolverine. Whether it be for work or for pleasure he enjoys spending as much time as possible in the back country of Algonquin Park.
