The April 1 singing of an American toad reported by Alberto Suarez was an early date worth recording.
Unlike other toads they burrow down below ground to only emerge in the spring.

Janet Mason made two special sightings there: on April 28, she heard two Eastern Meadowlarks and photographed one of them.
On May 15, she added a sighting of a Bobolink.
