Good morning,
My name is Hilary, and I am the student working with Parks Canada’s Canadian Heritage Rivers Board Secretariat this summer.
We are currently running our second annual Experience Canadian Heritage Rivers photo contest, and the Macnamara Field Naturalists’ Club’s focus on photography and nature along with its proximity to the Ottawa River, a Canadian Heritage River since 2007, make it an ideal contact for reaching potential contest participants.
The contest, which is held in partnership between the CHRS and Canoeroots & Family Camping magazine, is open until October 31, 2012. Winning photos will be published online and in Canoeroots magazine and will tour across Canada in the Reel Paddling Film Festival. This year the categories are as follows:
1. Canadian Heritage Rivers and Families
2. Canadian Heritage Rivers and Nature
3. Canadian Heritage Rivers and Cities
4. Canadian Heritage Rivers and Adventure
Information on the contest and on each of these categories is provided on the contest website: http://www.canoerootsmag.com/chrsphotocontest/ . For more information on the Canadian Heritage Rivers System, visit: http://www.chrs.ca/ .
I would greatly appreciate if you could share widely with your members. Submissions are online only, so the website address above should be included in all promotions. Please also feel free to reproduce and circulate the attached poster (also available in French).
I hope your members will consider entering the contest!
Best regards,
Hilary
