Message from the president
20 April 2020
I hope you are staying healthy and doing as well as can be expected during these difficult times. Sadly, we have had to cancel all of our Club meetings and field trips that were to be held in the upcoming months. As we do not hold meetings in July and August, the earliest we can possibly reconvene is the first Tuesday in September.
However, the good news is that Nature is still out there, waiting for us, offering much needed escapes and distractions from the confinement and stress we have all been experiencing. Of course, for your wellbeing and for that of others who you might encounter, social distancing must be maintained on any trail, including our own Macnamara Trail, which remains open but will not be maintained until this terrible crisis is over. If you do use the Club trail, please do so with caution and feel free to report any problems you encounter to us at trail@mfnc.ca
I sincerely hope that in the days ahead, the return of colourful songbirds and the vibrant blooms of spring wildflowers will bring joy to your heart and lift your spirits high. I look forward to seeing all of you in September (fingers crossed!).
Sincerely,
Michael Runtz
