Geology of the Cantley Quarry

Last Sunday afternoon, David Sharpe, a glaciologist with the Geological Survey of Canada, conducted a tour of the glacially-sculpted rocks at the Cantley Quarry. The attendees of the tour included members of the MFNC and MVFN club.

Late Fall Birding Around Arnprior

On November 18 we managed to get 18 participants into 5 vehicles (a tremendous feat for an MFNC outing!) for a birding trip in the Arnprior area. Led by Sophie Roy, we were searching for raptors and some of the winter rarities. We found 16 species of birds.  Highlights Continue reading
