Arnprior 150: Snowshoe the Macnamara Trail February 19

To mark Canada’s 150th, the Town of Arnprior is promoting 150 events held throughout Arnprior in 2017. Residents and visitors are encouraged to pick up a passport and gather stamps at as many events as possible throughout the year. Our club is “hosting” three of these events: a snowshoe of the Macnamara Trail on Sunday, February 19 (weather permitting); a fundraising local nature/history talk featuring Michael Runtz and Rory MacKay on April 28 at the Saint John Chrysostom Parish hall (watch for more info), and a Wild-Growing Trees of Eastern Ontario presentation by Owen Clarkin at our May 2 meeting.

The snowshoe event, the Sunday of Family Weekend, will be subject to weather and trail conditions.  We’ll be staffing a table from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Can you help? Send an email to trail@mfnc.ca . Come out and spread the word.

Looking for your own Arnprior 150 passport? Get them at Arnprior’s Town Hall, the Arnprior Library, the Nick Smith Centre or the Tourist Information Centre.
