Started near Stitsville, did a circle to Calabogie then renfrew and back across to Fitzroy harbour, west carleton and other spots on the Ottawa river. A quick trip into the city of Ottawa for Gray partridge and Mockingbird was in there somewhere as well. Then our evening stuff at the large provincially significant wetland near dunrobin, then finished in pakenham area for night birds.
Highlights include: Least Bittern near Chats Fall dam, a pair of Red Shouldered hawks with a nest near Pakenham, a good mix of warblers and the nocturnal/crepuscular species including Whip-poor-will, Nighthawk.
The total was 124 species.
